Boston, Massachusetts—December 15, 2019— Clove Inc. today announced it has received a seed investment from Ideaship, a patent-leveraged venture capital firm that provides patent development support for early stage startups. The investment will assist Clove’s development and distribution of Clove Cards, a new way to share blockchain-based products in the form of ready-to-use QR Codes.
“Clove Cards represent an exciting shift in the blockchain technology market. The secure and tactile experience created by Clove Cards differentiate the product from the traditional blockchain wallets available on the market today. We are excited to see Clove continue to expand their product offering within the blockchain space,” said Michael Lubitz, founder and managing director of Global Technology Transfer (GTT) Group and Ideaship co-founder.
“Clove Inc. is well positioned to provide blockchain technology as the core foundation of the Clove Card ecosystem and, in turn, maximize their intellectual property and enterprise value,” commented Kazutoshi Yasunaga, IP Specialist for Ideaship and Director for Panasonic Intellectual Property Corporation of America.
“Ideaship believed in us immediately and was willing to take the leap. They understood the nature of the journey and the team. Having someone you trust that is willing to be with you from the beginning and take that leap is priceless,” remarked Siva Ragavan, co-founder and CEO of Clove Inc.
