GTT Group, through its investment fund, Ideaship has partnered with L5 Automation. The investment will bolster their patent efficacy in the automated farming sector. L5 Automation recently won a NASA SBIR Phase I Grant, their 3rd of the type. Under the leadership of Alex Gutierrez, L5 Automation has been making waves with its pioneering efforts in automated precision harvesting of strawberries. The company’s approach integrates robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to revolutionize farming practices.
“I recently had an incredible day with the founders and team at L5 Automation. A core focus of ours is investing in automation teams who are obsessed with prioritizing practical processes. This team is in the field, they are actually in the dirt to make that happen! I am convinced the L5 team is going to make history one berry at a time. You can feel their commitment, ingenuity, passion and obsession. Their sustained intensity is contagious. I received a strawberry from a robot in the field. Amazing! We are so grateful to be on this journey. A special shout out to Tricia Clemans and Connie Bowen from Farmhand Ventures for introducing us to Alex.” Said Michael Lubitz, Managing Director and Founder of Ideaship and Global Technology Transfer Group.
