Ideaship Has Invested in Siloam Vision to reduce preventable blindness, and improve the health of populations worldwide.

Ideaship, a venture capital firm by Global Technology Transfer Group, has invested in Siloam Vision to reduce preventable blindness, and improve the health of populations worldwide. Siloam Vision is transforming ophthalmic diagnostics with AI-driven retinal imaging and telemedicine solutions designed to detect neo-natal and pediatric vision-related diseases and abnormalities.

“We’re honored to support Siloam Vision as they pioneer a new standard in pediatric eye care. Their commitment to solving preventable blindness through advanced imaging and AI is deeply inspiring. This is the kind of meaningful innovation we’re grateful to stand behind, where technology directly improves lives,” said Michael Lubitz, Managing Director and Founder of Ideaship and Global Technology Transfer Group.

“It was not a hard decision. As a first time founder, there is a lot that I don’t know. I just hope to make more right decisions than wrong ones. After meeting with the Ideaship team, we saw an opportunity to leverage their combined expertise to help us tip that balance in our favor, especially in terms of protecting our core IP,” said Pete Campbell, CEO of Siloam Vision.

Siloam Vision’s i-ROP DL system, developed in collaboration with the i-ROP consortium, has received FDA breakthrough device designation. This AI algorithm, combined with their cloud based telemedicine platform and ultra-widefield imaging devices like the iCam, enables early detection of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), a leading cause of childhood blindness. Their technology has demonstrated high accuracy in real-world settings offering a scalable solution to improve neonatal eye care globally.
